Bluebell Day at Ifield Woods

Bluebell Day is a popular school event at Ifield School’s own woodland that occurs once a year. This piece has been displayed in the Fauna and Flora exhibition at St. George’s Arts Centre. The image was based on a photograph of the woods that I captured on my Canon camera in 2017. If you look closely, you can see a little manmade teepee, based on ones I used to make with my friends in 2015, when I was a member of the forest school, where I used to go every Friday for four terms to construct wooden objects and shelters, cut down trees as well as maintain and care for the woodland. This started my love and appreciation for nature.
